Body Shop Manager
Directs the work activities of body shop employees, including their observance of deadlines and productivity levels, as well as the maintenance of quality standards. Achieves a reasonable operating profit for the department and maintains customer satisfaction standards, while containing expenses. Examines damaged vehicles to determine the degree of structural and mechanical damage, as well as damage to the bodywork and the insides of the vehicles to create an estimate of cost to repair. Builds and maintains good working relations with insurance adjusters. Builds and maintains good relations with the customers, to encourage their loyalty and obtain their recommendations. Honda Certified (ProFirst) Repair Facility seeking a full-time structural auto body technician.
To perform this job successfully, the individual will be experienced in structural repair. Specifically, they will have experience in panel replacement (welded), the use of a frame rack to perform structural straightening and pulling, the use of three-dimensional measuring systems, panel straightening (cosmetic), the use of a variety of welders (MIG, MAG and Squeeze-Type Resistance), and the disassembly/reassembly of late model vehicles.
I-CAR certifications (Platinum Tech and Welding) are preferred, but not required.
Obtaining a Platinum Level I-CAR certification will be required of the candidate if they do not possess it upon hiring.
